KASUR, Oct 20 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Imran Ali on Monday chaired two important meetings in Kasur, focusing on price control and anti-smog measures.
According to DC office, the DC emphasized the need for strict action to control prices and combat smog.
He expressed strong dissatisfaction with the performance of Price Control Magistrates and directed them to achieve their targets at all costs. Failure to do so would result in expulsion from the district.
The DC also instructed AC to closely monitor the performance of Price Control Magistrates and take strict action against those who fail to perform their duties. Cases will be registered against habitual offenders involved in artificial inflation, and their shops will be sealed.
He reviewed anti-smog measures, including prevention of crop residue burning, monitoring of brick kilns and industrial units, and testing of vehicle smoke.
He directed all departments to strengthen mutual coordination and ensure effective implementation of anti-smog measures. The DC emphasized that no negligence will be tolerated in the ongoing campaign to combat smog.
