DC Attock meeting reviews district performance

ATOCK, Oct 28 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Attock, Rao Atif Raza, chaired a meeting of the District Coordination Committee to review the performance of various departments.
According to DC office, Rao Atif emphasized the district administration’s commitment to improving governance and public service delivery.
The administration has taken stern action against illegal petrol pumps and gas cylinder dealers.
A total of 34 illegal petrol pumps were sealed, and fines amounting to Rs 385,000 were imposed. Similarly, 43 shops selling gas cylinders illegally were sealed, and fines worth Rs 238,000 were imposed.
The district administration has also conducted anti-encroachment operations, imposing fines of Rs 107,000. Furthermore, an anti-power theft campaign led to the detection of 61 illegal connections, imposition of fines exceeding Rs 3.6 million, and arrest of 47 individuals.
The district administration has also launched an anti-beggary campaign, apprehending 35 individuals involved in begging.
The DC emphasized that these measures will continue in line with the National Action Plan to ensure public welfare, law enforcement, and effective governance across the district.
