SUKKUR, Dec 12 (APP):The district administration in Sukkur has intensified its campaign against illicit and non-duty paid cigarettes, on Friday raids in various markets and shops yielding 1,831 packets of contraband cigarettes, equivalent to 36,620 sticks.
The operation, conducted by Assistant Commissioner New Sukkur, Waseem Mahar and Assistant Commissioner Rohri, Ghulam Murtaza Ghanghro, was carried out on the directives of the Chief Secretary Sindh and Deputy Commissioner Sukkur.
According to officials, the crackdown is part of a broader effort to curb the sale of illicit tobacco products in the district, with plans to continue and expand the operation in the coming days.
