FAISALABAD, Feb 18 (APP):City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar has directed the police officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements at mosques during prayer timings and maintain smooth traffic flow at Iftar hours as part of a comprehensive Ramazan security plan.
According to police spokesman Tariq Jutt, the CPO chaired a high-level meeting at Police Lines Complex to review security measures ahead of the holy month.
SSP Investigation Saleem Abbas Kalachi, CTO Rana Nasir Javed, Town SPs, DSPs, SHOs and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
The CPO issued clear instructions to strengthen mosque security during all prayer timings in Ramazan and deploy additional personnel to prevent any untoward incident.
He directed that special traffic warden duties should be assigned to ensure uninterrupted flow of vehicles at Iftar time to facilitate the citizens.
He further ordered that teams of Dolphin Force and Elite Force should conduct regular patrolling on roads during Sehr and Iftar hours to maintain law & order and respond promptly to emergencies. All officers should also keep a vigilant eye on suspicious elements in their respective jurisdictions.
Protection of life and property of the citizens was the top priority of Faisalabad police and all officers should work collectively to keep the city peaceful during Ramazan, he added.
