Court awards death penalty to man for Killing neighbor
LAHORE, Mar 02 (APP):A sessions court on Monday awarded death penalty to an accused found guilty of murdering his neighbor over a minor dispute.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Shahid Hameed convicted Arif alias Kaku and sentenced him to death along with a fine of Rs 200,000. The court also sentenced co-accused Yasir to life imprisonment for his role in the crime.
According to the prosecution, the accused opened fire on their neighbor, Ashraf, killing him on the spot following a trivial quarrel. Prosecutor Sajid Saeed represented the state during the trial. The case was registered in 2023 by Batapur Police Station.
