Community leaders gather to honour late Abdul Ghafoor, remembering his legacy of service

RAHIM YAR KHAN, Nov 14 (APP): Prominent figure Chaudhry Muhammad Munir on Thursday visited the residence of President of the District Press Club, Qaiser Ghafoor Chaudhry to offer condolences on the passing of his father, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor and expressed his sympathies, praying for the departed soul.
At this gathering, notable individuals including industrialist Haji Muhammad Ibrahim, District Press Club General Secretary Mian Muhammad Shaukat, and former presidents Asim Siddique, Chaudhry Javed Iqbal, Rao Numan Aslam, Makhdoom Ghulam Abbas, as well as District Press Club members Qari Zafar Iqbal Sharif, Mian Anas Zafar, Chaudhry Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Professor Anwar-ul-Haq, Chaudhry Tahir Mahmood, Chaudhry Bilal Jamshed, and close relatives of the deceased were present.
In his condolence message, Chaudhry Munir remarked, “Every living soul is destined to taste death. True success lies in righteous deeds, which benefit a person both in this world and the hereafter.” He reflected on Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor’s personality, praising his political and social contributions and acknowledging his pivotal role in the region’s progress.
Chaudhry Munir advised Qaiser Ghafoor Chaudhry and all family members to seek solace in faith, stating, “Acceptance of God’s will is a hallmark of true belief.”
Haji Muhammad Ibrahim also shared his sentiments, describing Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor’s passing as an immense loss for the community. “The gap left by his departure is irreplaceable. His life exemplified the spirit of serving others, and while he may be gone, his memory and legacy will continue to live in the hearts of his family, friends, and community,” Ibrahim said, praying for the bereaved family’s strength and resilience to carry forward the late Chaudhry’s legacy of service.
