SARGODHA, Nov 06 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Division Jehanzeb Awan on Thursday chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for distributing the financial assistance package announced by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, for flood-affected families of Kot Momin.
According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner’s office here, the meeting was informed that the disbursement of the Chief Minister’s announced relief package will commence next week at a specially established setup near Sial Morr Interchange. All relevant committees have completed the verification of the data of affected families, and final lists have been provided to the Bank of Punjab.
The commissioner directed that all arrangements for the distribution process be well-organized and efficient to ensure that no affected person faces any inconvenience. He stressed the need for complete coordination among all departments involved to facilitate a smooth and transparent process.
Awan reiterated that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, remains fully committed to supporting families affected by natural calamities and ensuring the timely provision of relief and rehabilitation assistance.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Fahad Mahmood, Assistant Commissioner Kot Momin Faisal Cheema, representatives of the Bank of Punjab, and the focal person of PDMA.
