Commissioner orders early execution of Nespak beautification schemes in Attock

RAWALPINDI, Oct 2 (APP):Commissioner Rawalpindi  Engineer Aamir Khattak on Thursday directed that the feasibility and technical aspects of the Nespak-led beautification schemes in Attock be finalised without delay so that tenders could be floated within days and timely execution ensured.
Chairing a meeting of the Divisional Coordination Committee here at his office, he stressed that all development projects and public service facilities must be completed within the stipulated timeframe through close inter-departmental coordination.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Nazart Ali, Director General Parks and Horticulture Authority, Director Health, and heads of other relevant departments.
The commissioner instructed all assistant commissioners to immediately complete the updating and digitisation of revenue records and service books to ensure transparency and modern service delivery.
Reviewing the Rawalpindi city projects, he directed the assistant commissioners City and Cantonment to monitor plantation and tree growth on both sides of the Murree Road, and prepare a comprehensive plan for further beautification of greenbelts to reduce air pollution and provide citizens with a pleasant environment.
He also tasked the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company to further improve sanitation and adopt modern methods of waste disposal.
The deputy commissioners gave detailed briefings on development schemes, sanitation measures, tree plantation drives and revenue record digitisation in their respective districts.
Concluding the meeting, the commissioner directed that beautification schemes across the five districts of Rawalpindi Division be launched without delay so that their timely completion could provide residents with a cleaner and healthier environment.
