He directed the concerned departments to expedite construction work, remove administrative bottlenecks, and ensure completion of the project before the start of the summer season.
He also instructed officials to strictly adhere to approved designs and quality standards.
Noting the scenic potential of the area, the Commissioner directed the relevant departments to prepare a comprehensive plan to promote eco-tourism in the valley.
Officials briefed him that upon completion, the dam will help irrigate barren lands, ensure availability of clean drinking water, support wildlife and forest development, and provide quality fish supply, contributing to sustainable economic growth in the region.
Later, Commissioner Syed Motasim Billah Shah paid unannounced visits to the District Headquarters Hospital Kohat, Rural Health Centre Gumbat, Kohat Tunnel, and polio vaccination teams working in Khushal Garh.
During hospital inspections, he checked attendance of medical staff, availability of essential medicines, cleanliness, and patient care facilities.

He emphasized that timely healthcare services, uninterrupted medicine supply, proper sanitation, and patient facilitation must be ensured without compromise.
While reviewing the polio campaign, the Commissioner appreciated the dedication of polio vaccination teams for continuing their duties on a Sunday.
He directed health authorities to provide full logistical and security support to field teams to ensure effective coverage and successful eradication of the disease.
