LAHORE, Oct 29 (APP):The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) has intensified its province-wide crackdown against drug mafias, conducting multiple successful intelligence-based operations that led to the recovery of large quantities of narcotics, arms, and equipment, as well as the arrest of several traffickers.
According to a CNF spokesperson, in a major operation in Village Jadman, Bedian Road, Lahore, the force uncovered an international drug and arms smuggling network using drones and quadcopters to transport contraband across borders. During the raid, one suspect was arrested, and 2.5 kilograms of heroin, one kilogram of opium, four pistols, one sub-machine gun, one repeater gun, ammunition, 5 quadcopters, six controllers, two drone drop kits, 15 drone batteries, three walkie-talkie sets, a narco weighing machine, and two motorcycles were seized.
In a separate intelligence-led operation in Arifwala, District Pakpattan, CNF teams apprehended a drug peddler and recovered 14 kilograms of hashish, two digital scales, and one pistol.
The CNF spokesperson emphasised that the force remains committed to dismantling drug-trafficking networks across Punjab, adding that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to safeguard youth and ensure a narcotics-free society.
Punjab CNF authorities reaffirmed their resolve to continue targeted actions in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab for a “Narcotics-Free, Healthy, and Safe Punjab.”
