CM KP inaugurates Bara Bypass road, mother-child nutrition facility in Khyber

PESHAWAR, Feb 11 (APP):Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohaib Afridi, on Wednesday inaugurated the Bara Bypass Road, marking a significant step toward resolving long-standing traffic congestion issues in the area.
According to an official briefing, the Bara Bypass Road is 7 kilometers long and includes a 152-meter-long bridge.
The total cost of the project is Rs 1.32 billion, out of which Rs 1.21 billion has already been spent.
The project has been completed to improve regional connectivity and facilitate smoother transportation.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said the bypass road would significantly reduce traffic pressure in Bara Bazaar and nearby residential areas.
He added that the project would also promote local trade and boost economic activities by improving access and mobility.
Earlier, the CM also inaugurated a special nutrition facility for mothers and children at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Khyber district.
During the inauguration ceremony in Jamrud, Sohaib Afridi stated that the facility would provide screening, diagnosis, and treatment services for malnourished women and children.
Under the nutrition program, mothers, children, and other patients will receive quality nutritional support at the hospital.
He emphasized that the new nutrition facility would directly benefit the local population of Khyber district by providing hospital-level nutritional care, contributing to improved maternal and child health outcomes in the region.
