LAHORE, Nov 15 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has congratulated Pakistan on winning the one day international (ODI) series against Sri Lanka and lauded the visiting team for its sportsmanship.
In her message, she said the Sri Lankan team’s passion for cricket is commendable and added that while terrorism has been defeated, sports and peace have triumphed.
Highlighting the importance of peace, the chief minister said that the conspiracies of terrorists will always fail. She praised the Pakistan team for entertaining fans with a brilliant performance in the series and remarked that Babar Azam’s century deserves special appreciation. She prayed for the continued success of Team Pakistan in future matches.
