QUETTA, Jan 31 (APP):Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said Saturday that security forces have eliminated more than 700 terrorists across the province over the past 12 months as part of ongoing counterterrorism operations.
Sarfraz Bugti, in a statement shared on social media platform X, said that nearly 70 terrorists were killed in the last two days alone during security operations.
He revealed that early Saturday morning, terrorists belonging to Fitna-e-Hindustan attempted attacks in various areas of Balochistan, but were successfully thwarted by the Balochistan Police and Frontier Corps (FC).
He added that due to timely and effective action, an additional 37 terrorists have been killed so far.
The Chief Minister emphasized that such cowardly attacks cannot weaken the resolve of the state in its fight against terrorism.
“These acts of terror will not deter our determination,” Bugti said.
Reaffirming the government’s stance, Bugti declared that the state would not rest until the last terrorist is eliminated. He assured that counterterrorism operations will continue unabated to ensure lasting peace and stability in Balochistan.
