RAWALPINDI, Oct 13 (APP):The people of Rawalpindi have expressed rich tribute and admiration for 23 brave soldiers of the armed forces who laid down their lives in defence of the nation during unprovoked firing by Afghan Taliban militants and Indian-sponsored terrorists along the border.
In a heartfelt show of solidarity, the general public hailed the supreme sacrifices of our brave soldiers as a beacon of courage and patriotism.
Talking with APP, the citizens from various walks of life said that the valour soldiers who embraced martyrdom while safeguarding the homeland have set an enduring example of bravery and selflessness.
Citizens across Rawalpindi expressed their deepest respect for the shuhada and offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured personnel.
Raja Babar, a freight trader from Rawalpindi, said that the brave sons of the soil remind us that true strength lies in defending our homeland without hesitation.
“Their legacy will inspire the generations to come”, he added.
Amjad Zeb, an educationist, said that the sacrifices of these heroes teach our youth the value of unity and resilience.
“We must honour them by building a stronger and more secure Pakistan”, Amjad said.
Malik Zulfiqar, a socio-politician, emphasized that in the face of such adversity, our nation’s spirit remains unbroken as these martyrs are the pillars of our sovereignty.
Profound condolences and sympathies have been extended to the bereaved families, assuring them of the nation’s unwavering support during this time of grief.
Misbah Tahir, a school teacher and said that during a decisive response to Indian sponsored terrorists and the beginning retaliation against the Khawarij groups, Pakistan’s armed forces struck back with precision, eliminating above 200 Afghan Taliban fighters.
Uzma Tahir, a house lady, observed that the courageous troops of the Pakistan Army not only neutralized the immediate threat but also thwarted the notorious designs of the adversaries.
People also expressed their emotions and said that they would remain shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces till the complete elimination of the Indian splinter groups operating from Afghan soil. They viewed that Pakistan’s integrity and security remain paramount, and the sacrifices of the brave sons who offered their lives for the motherland will forever be present in their hearts.
