CHINIOT, Oct 29 (APP):The Chief Minister Punjab Flood Rehabilitation Program has initiated relief efforts in Chiniot, distributing aid to approximately 16,000 affected families. Payment counters have been set up at the Hockey Stadium, providing financial assistance to flood victims, including Rs 20,000 per acre of crop, Rs 500,000 for raw houses, and Rs 10,000 for cooked houses, the local correspondent of APP reported this from Chiniot on Wednesday.
According to the details, Deputy Commissioner Safiullah Gondal reviewed the arrangements, ensuring payments are made efficiently to five hundred flood victims daily. He inspected facilities, including seating, drinking water, food, and washrooms, and met with victims to address concerns. Payments are made from 9 am to 5 pm to individuals who receive SMS notifications from the bank.
Transport arrangements have been made for affected people from each tehsil, facilitating access to the payment counters.
