Challan submitted in May 9 PBC attack case; KP CM among accused

PESHAWAR, Mar 11 (APP):In a significant development in the case related to the attack on the Radio Pakistan (PBC) building here during the May 9 incidents, the investigating officer has submitted the challan in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).
According to the challan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has also been nominated in the case. Former provincial ministers Taimur Saleem Jhagra and Kamran Bangash have likewise been included among the accused.
The charge sheet further names district president Irfan Saleem and party worker Amir Chamkani as suspects in connection with the attack.
The case pertains to the violent incident on May 9 in which the historic building of PBC where offices of Radio and Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) were set on fire during protests.
Legal proceedings will continue in ATC  following the submission of the challan.
