CEO of Barrack Gold Corporation calls on Balochistan CM

QUETTA, Jul 25 (APP): President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Barrick Gold Corporation Mark Bristow called on Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti at his office here Thursday and discussed mining in Balochistan and ongoing support projects in the province.

The Chief Minister, while talking to the CEO and President Barrick Gold Corporation, said that the provincial government was trying to promote foreign investment in Balochistan and make it capable of providing effective security and protection to foreign investors. He said that the bright future of Balochistan and Pakistan was associated with international and national investment projects saying that steps were being taken for enhancing foreign investment in collaboration with the federal and provincial governments.

The chief minister said that a comprehensive security plan had been created for foreign investment projects, Levies force was recruited for the security of foreign projects. He said that there was a need to highlight the welfare works of Barrack Gold Corporation, public welfare projects should be highlighted by creating an effective communication strategy.
With the completion of welfare projects, the standard of living of the people will be increased, he said.

The President and CEO of Barrack Gold Corporation thanked the chief minister and said that the provincial government and Barrack Gold would continue the initiatives for the welfare of the people under joint efforts.
