Blind murder solved; prime suspect held — Capital Police & HIU

ISLAMABAD, Nov 06 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Secretariat Police, in coordination with the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU), solved the blind murder case of Muhammad Ali and arrested the prime suspect.

An official told APP on Thursday that the victim’s son Mustafa Ali approached Secretariat Police Station, reporting his father missing and expressing suspicion over their neighbour Salar Abbasi. Following the complaint, FIR No. 604/25 was registered under murder charges.
He said the body of Muhammad Ali was recovered from Ramli Village near Shahdara Khurd (forest area). The corpse bore firearm injuries, and five spent cartridges of a 30-bore pistol were collected from the crime scene as evidence.
He said that acting on the directions of DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SHO Mian Imran formed a special investigation team. The HIU and police team used modern technical aids, including CCTV footage, call-data records and geo-fencing, and carried out focused raids which led to the arrest of prime suspect Salar Abbasi.
He added that further interrogation of the accused is underway and more arrests are expected as raids continue to trace possible accomplices.
SHO Mian Imran said that those involved in this heinous crime will be brought to justice and no offender will be spared.
