Balochistan Youth Policy devised to bring youth into mainstream: Sarfraz Bugti

QUETTA, Aug 28 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday said that Balochistan Youth Policy has been devised to bring the youth of the province into mainstream and provide ample opportunities to achieving their goals.

Addressing the scholarship cheques distribution ceremony through Balochistan Educational Endowment Fund, he said the Balochistan youth were being misled by anti-state elements through baseless propaganda and stressed that the gap between the state and the Baloch youth needed to be bridged.

Bugti said, “The recent incidents of terrorism in the province are regrettable. In Baloch traditions, no innocent person has been killed after being disembarked from the buses. You can be aggrieved with the government and its performance, but you cannot be angry with the state.”

Provincial Ministers including Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Mir Asim Kurd Gello, prominent social figure and former minister Roshan Khursheed Bharucha, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan and Finance Secretary Babar Khan, CEO BEEF Zakaria Khan Noorzai and a large number of students participated in the ceremony.

The chief minister said that in order to resolve the concerns of deprivation in the province, it is necessary to make easy the obtaining of education for the masses. He added that the provincial government has implemented its education-friendly policy.

He called the youth as the future of Balochistan and the country, and pledged that the program would be further expanded to provide support to the young generation in getting best education.

Bugti said that the children of martyrs and minorities and students who have achieved top positions in the districts will be enrolled in best educational institutions across the country under Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program.

Under the program, the provincial government will provide higher education in the world’s top universities to 200 students of the province and transgender have also been made part of this scholarship program.

He said that along with the provision of education, multiple programs have also been started to provide technical skills to the youth.

Sarfraz Bugti said that a program has been implemented that around 30,000 youth would be trained this year in various technical fields and interest-free loans would are being provided to the youth in easy installments to start businesses through the Akhuwat Fundation.

He reiterated that no one would be allowed to sell a job, merit will be ensured in all circumstances, if anyone asked money for a job, make a video and immediate action would be taken against all the involved persons.

He said that government has devised a plan to fill the vacancies purely on contract basis to ensure merit and transparency in the recruitment process.

The Chief Minister said that the development projects have been initiated in every district without any discrimination and the provincial government would highlight the progress of the development projects and access to the development projects would be provided to everyone.

He said that the provision of knowledge is the only way to build and develop a prosperous nations and the role of everyone is pivotal in the building and developing of the society.
