QUETTA, Jul 01 (APP):The Balochistan government has kicked off the development projects with the start of new fiscal year with the release of Rs. 50 billion in development funds, marking what it described as a new era of fast-paced and practical governance in the province.
According to officials from the Balochistan Finance Department, the funds were released on the very first day of the fiscal year, highlighting the provincial government’s commitment to timely implementation of public projects and effective financial management.
An official of the Balochistan government said that the immediate release of development funds is “a reflection of the provincial government’s preparedness, administrative discipline, and seriousness.” The funds will be directed toward key sectors including health, education, irrigation, road infrastructure, and energy.
The official statement further emphasized that the swift financial action represents a new development model for Balochistan, one that sets a positive example for other provinces.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed satisfaction over the timely disbursement of funds, calling it the beginning of “real service” rather than mere “paper promises.”
“This marks the start of practical delivery. From now on, every rupee in the budget will be visible on the ground, not just on paper,” said Chief Minister Bugti. He added, “We have shown that when intentions are clear, decisions can be made not in days but in hours.”
He also noted that the prompt release of development funds is a strong message of the provincial government’s commitment to the people of Balochistan.
The move is being seen as a significant policy shift aimed at accelerating development, boosting public trust, and ensuring that the benefits of budget allocations reach citizens without delay.
