ATTOCK, Nov 24 (APP):Police in Attock have solved a blind murder case and arrested three suspects involved in the killing of a man whose decomposed body was found near a graveyard in the Hajji Shah area earlier this month.
According to police sources, the body of Waqar Ahmed, aged around 30, was recovered from the graveyard near Aiwa City after his family reported him missing. Waqar, who often left home at night and did not return on August 10, was found dead two days later during a search by relatives.
District Police Officer (DPO) Sardar Moin-ur-Rehman Khan formed a special team that used technical surveillance and human intelligence to trace the culprits. The arrested suspects were identified as Khan Afzar, Tariq Mahmood alias Punchi, and Safeer Niaz.
The suspects have been shifted to lockup and will be remanded for recovery of the murder weapon. Police said the case will be forwarded to court with solid evidence.
