DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jul 09 (APP):Under the Chief Minister Punjab Assistive Devices and Wheelchairs Programme, assistive devices and wheelchairs were distributed among special persons in Dera Ghazi Khan.
The distribution ceremony, organized by the Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department, was held at the Panahgah DG Khan. Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Muhammad Hanif Pitafi was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed assistive devices among the deserving beneficiaries.
Deputy Director Social Welfare Zakauddin Buzdar, Assistant Directors Mateen Bilal, Rameesha Mujahid, Muhammad Ibrahim, Maria Khan, Manager Sanat Zar Bilal Ahmed, District Women Protection Officer Surayya Majeed Rana, Social Services Officer Zumurrad Zehra, and other officials also participated in the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, MPA Muhammad Hanif Pitafi said that special persons are a priority under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s initiatives, adding that she has always worked with a motherly approach for the welfare of marginalised segments.
Deputy Director Zakauddin Buzdar informed that the department has distributed wheelchairs and assistive devices among 53 special persons. He emphasized that making special persons productive members of society is a collective responsibility.
