DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 12 (APP):The district administration has intensified its anti-encroachment drive aimed at improving traffic flow and ensuring public convenience across the city.
According to district administration, as part of the ongoing campaign, operations were carried out in New Bannu Chugi, Kachi Painda Khan (North), Basti Mekan, and Thoya Fazil areas.
The operation was led by Assistant Commissioner Dera, Syed Muhammad Arsalan, with the active participation of DSP Traffic, TMO Dera, Tehsildar, Revenue staff, TMA, and WSSC teams.
During the drive, both permanent and temporary encroachments obstructing roads, footpaths, and drainage systems were removed. Items such as stairs, sheds, stands, tandoors, grills, and other illegal structures were dismantled in an organized manner.
The officials added that the operation will help restore smooth traffic flow and improve sewerage and rainwater drainage systems in the city.
The shopkeepers and traders have been strictly directed to remove all encroachments voluntarily, failing which stern action will be taken against violators.
The administration expressed its resolve that the anti-encroachment campaign will continue in the coming days to maintain order, safety, and convenience for citizens.
