LARKANA, Oct 30 (APP):Carried out an Anti-Beggary Drive on Thursday , along with Nagina Memon from the District Labour and Human Resource Department,Gada Hussain Abassi, Deputy Director Child Protection, accompanied by a police escort, on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, Larkano.
The drive started from Qaim Shah Bukhari and ended at Tank Chowk, Larkano. During the activity, several children found begging were taken into police custody. The purpose was to identify and rescue these children and ensure their parents are called by the police to give a written affidavit stating they will not force their children into beggary again.
Earlier, also attended a meeting on Anti-Bonded Labour in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Larkano, chaired by the DC Larkano. It was decided to initiate field visits and awareness campaigns against beggary and bonded labour in coordination with the Labour Department and with support from the Police Department.
