Another westerly system to bring rain, snowfall, hailstorm from Jan 31

ABBOTTABAD, Jan 31 (APP):The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, wind, thunderstorms, snowfall and isolated hailstorms in the upper parts of the country as a westerly weather system is expected to enter the region from the evening or night of January 30.
According to the advisory, from January 31 to February 3, rain and thunderstorms with snowfall over mountainous areas are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,  may also receive rain and thunderstorms during the period.
PMD warned that heavy snowfall at isolated places in mountainous areas could lead to road closures and travel difficulties. Isolated hailstorms may also occur, posing a risk to standing crops.
Tourists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel, particularly towards hilly and mountainous regions, due to the risk of landslides and slippery road conditions.
Farmers are advised to take precautionary measures to protect crops, while relevant authorities have been directed to remain alert and take necessary precautionary steps.
