LAHORE, Nov 08 (APP): The annual Book Fair 2025, organised by the Khurram Murad Learning Resource Centre at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), continued on Saturday with great enthusiasm.
The three-day academic and literary fair was inaugurated by Provost UMT Dr Asghar Zaidi by cutting the ribbon. He stated that book reading nurtures creativity, refines thought, and leads to personal and academic success. He noted that the primary goal of the book fair is to promote intellectual curiosity and strengthen the culture of reading across the academic community.
Expressing these views at the opening ceremony, Provost UMT said that students should develop a life long friendship with books and a habit of reading because good books show a person the path to intellectual elevation, creativity and success.
More than 50 leading publishers, booksellers, and educational companies from across Pakistan are participating in the fair, offering a diverse selection of books on literature, education, science, business, technology, social sciences, and artificial intelligence.
In addition to book displays, the event features literary sessions, book exchange stalls, and thought-provoking dialogues organized by the UMT Readers Club.
