RAWALPINDI, Mar 09 (APP):The Horticulture Agency (HA) Rawalpindi has intensified efforts to beautify parks across the city, with colourful seasonal flowers and fresh landscaping presenting a vibrant spring scene at the Allama Iqbal Park.
According to an HA spokesman on Monday, special measures were being taken to enhance the beauty of the city’s largest park on the directions of Managing Director of Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha.
The park, the spokesman said, had been decorated with a variety of colourful flowers and plants, creating an attractive environment for visitors. Families and citizens were visiting the park in large numbers and enjoying the recreational facilities provided there.
The Agency’s staff is carrying out gardening and maintenance activities with dedication to ensure the upkeep of parks and green spaces across the city.
Managing Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said the Agency was utilising all available resources to maintain and further improve the beauty of parks in Rawalpindi.
He said making the city greener and more beautiful was the HA’s top priority. In line with the vision of the Punjab Government, efforts were being made to provide citizens with a healthy and pleasant recreational environment.
The managing director added that, in view of climate change, the Agency’s staff was also actively working to protect plants and flowers in green belts and parks from its visible effects.
