LAHORE, Jan 21 (APP):The Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra) organized a classical music programme at Alhamra Hall No. 3, featuring renowned classical musician Ustad Nadeem Riaz Malik.
The programme aimed to promote classical music and highlight its cultural importance. Ustad Nadeem Riaz Malik, a former disciple of the Gwalior Gharana and a gold medalist from the first batch of Punjab University, performed Raag Deep followed by Raag Bhupali, creating a serene musical atmosphere.
Alhamra Executive Director Muhammad Nawaz Gondal attended the programme along with his team. Prominent guests including Additional Secretary to the Chief Secretary, poet Shafqatullah Mushtaq, Tariq Khan Niazi, Director Development Board of Revenue, and former DC Kasur Rana Arshad were also present.
On the occasion, ED Alhamra Muhammad Nawaz Gondal said that Alhamra would continue to provide its platform for the promotion and welfare of artists and the preservation of classical music.
Ustad Nadeem Riaz Malik thanked the Alhamra administration for organizing the programme. The participants appreciated the performance and termed the evening a valuable contribution towards preserving classical music traditions.
