AJK PM unveils road network projects linking remote areas with major cities

MIRPUR (AJK) , Jul 23 (APP): Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has announced several developmental projects aimed at improving road infrastructure and connecting remote villages to major cities and towns in the state.

He made this announcement while addressing a public gathering in remote area of Nakyal in Kotli district on Tuesday.

The PM announced launching of road network project in Kotli district including Nakyal to Nadi via Karila Mathani highway, Nakyal to Dabsi road via Mohra Sharif, Nakyal to Gali via Nadrot and construction of a multipurpose hall for Degree College Nakyal.

The PM said that the process of prosperity and development in the region had been started again. Every citizen had to play a role in the nation building, he added.

The PM said, “When we talk about our rights and privileges we must not forget our duties.”

He said that the Almighty had given him an opportunity to serve the people of the state.

He said that after assuming the charge of government many people-friendly measures were taken to improve the lives of common masses.

Referring to affordable wheat-flour prices, the prime minister said that flour prices in AJK were lower as compared to other areas.

“The AJK region, which was in the grip of mafias, has been made a mafia-free state”, he said, adding that now no one could even dare to challenge writ of the state.

The PM reiterated the firm stance that a strong and stable Pakistan was the guarantor for the success of ongoing freedom movement in Kashmir.

The PM said that he was a strong proponent of Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan ideology, adding “Pakistaniyat runs in my blood and I am proud of it”.

Meanwhile, PM Anwar ul Haq visited the grave of former Azad Kashmir President, Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

He was accompanied by senior minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmad Noor, Mian Abdul Waheed, Malik Zafar, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Javeid Badahanvi, Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, Chaudhry Nisar Ansar Abdali, and Chaudhry Rashid, former Mnister Sardar Naeem Khan, Adviser to President Chaudhry Muhammad Mehboob and others.
