MIRPUR, Jul 07 (APP):The Azad Jammu Kashmir government has devised a comprehensive plan to tackle any eventuality during the monsoon season, ensuring the safety of life and property.
In a high-level meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, the government reviewed preparations, including cleaning drains, monitoring low-lying areas, and putting authorities on high alert.
During the meeting, it was decided that a central control room will be established in the chief secretary’s office to monitor the situation.
The PM directed institutions to remain vigilant, issue advisories, and inform people living near rivers and nullahs to take safety measures.
PM was informed that emergency funds have been released to the State Disaster Management Authority, Police, and Public Works department.
