FAISALABAD, May 30 (APP):Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Regional Director Madam Saima Iram said on Friday that university’s Swift Centre has been closed due to some technical reasons and students should rely only on university’s official channels by avoiding from unauthorized entities.
In a statement here on Friday, she said that the Swift Center was established on trial basis under regional administration but now it has been non-operational since July 2024.
She clarified that AIOU Swift Center was never intended to be a permanent facility and it was shut down after trial period due to unavoidable technical constraints.
She said that the university has also learned with grave concerns that certain individuals and institutions are still misusing AIOU name to provide unauthorized services.
The university has no affiliation with these unauthorized swift centers and any dealings with such entities are strictly at the individual’s own risk, she added.
She said that the general public especially the students have been strongly advised to avoid any unauthorized channels. They should only contact the main campus AIOU or the nearest regional offices for official assistance and guidance.
