MULTAN, Nov 03 (APP): The railway track between Abdul Hakim and Shorkot has been fully restored and declared fit for all types of train operations from November 1, 2025, following
extensive repair works carried out after flood-related damage.
The section was severely affected by the devastating floods of September 3, 2025,
which damaged approximately eight kilometers of track at four different locations
due to heavy water flow.
Under the effective leadership and close supervision of Divisional Superintendent (DS)
Railways Multan, Iftikhar Hussain, the restoration work was completed promptly as per
the highest standards.
Divisional Engineer Rehan Sabir, along with his dedicated team, worked tirelessly
day and night to restore the affected section in record time.
Pakistan Railways remains committed to public service and continues to take strong
measures to ensure that the national railway network remains safe, reliable, and resilient.
