SARGODHA, Jul 11 (APP):Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited Sargodha Region is taking active measures to improve operational excellence, address customer complaints, and combat gas theft.
This was claimed by the Spokesman of SNGPL Sargodha Region Muhammad Abdullah while talking to APP here on Friday. He said the Regional Manager issued orders for immediate action on all complaints and information related to gas theft. “During the fiscal year 2024-25, five FIRs were registered and the regional team identified 8,346 cases of under-billing and gas theft. As a result, fines totaling Rs. 22.25 million were imposed, and accused were booked for theft of gas volume of 23.1 MMCF, he said.
Regarding customer service, he said the company was receiving daily feedback from officers to resolve customer complaints and issues. A top priority for the company is to maintain gas pressure during mealtimes and to resolve customer problems. He appealed to the public to report any incidents of gas theft immediately by calling 1199 or 048-322440 and to act as responsible citizens. The identity of the informant would be kept confidential, and the company has directed that immediate action be taken, including the registration of a non-bailable FIR under Section 462, he added.
