LAHORE, Oct 31 (APP): Every tehsil of Punjab is now in the final stages of becoming a completely safe city, the Punjab government has released funds for installing cameras in 94 tehsils.
The Punjab government has released funds of 15 billion for the Safe City Authority, points for installation of cameras have been identified and surveys have been completed.
Safe City Authority sources said that all tehsils have been mapped according to crimes and accidents, no new buildings will be built for the feed of new cameras.
The feed of cameras will go directly to the tehsil police stations, the feed of the police stations will reach the central centers, it has been decided to increase the data of Lahore Safe City.
The Safe City coverage in Punjab will be completed by June 30, 2026.
