RAWALPINDI, Jan 22 (APP):Seven suspects were arrested in separate operations for involvement in robbery, motorcycle lifting and other theft offences, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Thursday.
The police recovered seven stolen motorcycles, Rs83,500 in cash, a mobile phone, an LCD and weapons from the accused.
According to the spokesman, the Rawal Division Police busted three gangs of robbers and bike lifters. The New Town Police arrested four suspects belonging to two gangs involved in multiple robbery incidents, recovering a stolen motorcycle, Rs73,500 in snatched cash and weapons during the operation.
Similarly, the Ratta Amral Police apprehended a two-member gang and recovered three stolen motorcycles, along with Rs10,000 in snatched cash and an LCD.
Meanwhile, the Ganjmandi Police arrested a suspect involved in motorcycle theft and other theft cases, recovering three stolen motorcycles and a mobile phone from his possession.
