7 kilogram hashish seized in Khyber, two accused held: Police

PESHAWAR, Dec 29 (APP):Khyber police on Monday carried out a major operation by successfully foiling drug smuggling through a motorcycle.
Police recovered seven kilograms of hashish, and arrested two smugglers on the spot.
According to the spokesperson for District Khyber Police, on the special instructions of the DPO Khyber, the operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO Jamrud Siddiq Khan, with In-charge Zarmat Khan Shaheed, along with Nafis Khan, head of Takhta Beg check post, and Assistant In-charge Sohail Khan.
Based on a tip-off, the operation was carried out at the Takhta Beg area. During the operation, two suspicious individuals riding a motorcycle were stopped and searched.
The suspects, identified as Muhammad Nadeem son of Muhammad Saleem and Mudassar Ali son of Noor Alam, residents of Peshawar, were found in possession of a total of seven kilograms of hashish and arrested.
 The motorcycle used for smuggling was also taken into custody.
The suspects were shifted to Jamrud Police Station, where a case has been registered against them under the Anti Narcotics Act and further investigation has been initiated.
The SHO Jamrud has said that the ongoing campaign against drugs will be further intensified.
