RAWALPINDI, Feb 12 (APP): The City Police arrested seven men for allegedly attempting to seize a citizen’s shop and issuing death threats, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Thursday.
Quoting from the first information report, the spokesman said the accused had entered the shop with the intention of occupying it, assaulted the complainant and issued threats to him.
He said the City Police Station registered a case promptly and took the seven suspects into custody.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Saad Arshad said the detained suspects would be challaned before the court with solid evidence to ensure they are awarded exemplary punishment.
Further investigation was under way, the spokesman added.
