SIALKOT, Nov 18 (APP): Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of 63 individuals involved in kite flying during November, recovering a total of 483 kites and strings from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, the crackdown was launched on the instructions of District Police Officer Faisal Shehzad as part of efforts to curb the illegal practice. The spokesman said that throughout November, various police teams conducted targeted operations, resulting in the arrest of 63 accused and the seizure of hundreds of kites and banned strings.
Police have urged the public to refrain from kite flying, warning that violations will lead to strict legal action. Separate cases have been registered against all the arrested individuals, and further investigations are underway.
