57 suspects detained in ICT Police grand search operations across Capital
ISLAMABAD, Mar 28 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police detained 57 suspicious individuals during large-scale combing and search operations conducted in multiple areas of the federal capital.
An official told APP on Saturday that the operations were carried out in the jurisdictions of Margalla, Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Secretariat, Golra and Lohi Bher police stations under the supervision of zonal Superintendents of Police.
He said lady police officials also participated in the search operations to ensure effective checking.
He said during the operations, 542 individuals and 208 households were checked, while 98 shops and 44 hotels were also inspected.
He added that 286 motorcycles and 114 vehicles were checked during the drive, while 57 suspicious individuals and 12 motorcycles were shifted to relevant police stations for further verification.
The official said the operations were conducted on the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to eliminate crime and ensure safety of citizens across the district.
He urged citizens to cooperate with police during checking and immediately report any suspicious activity.
