FAISALABAD, Jun 16 (APP):In line with the instructions of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provision of assistive devices for special persons is ongoing in the district.
The Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Department distributed 51 more assistive devices, 45 wheelchairs, 2 walkers, a hearing aid and 3 white canes among special persons.
In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Municipal Corporation Hall here on Monday. Former MPA Mian Tahir Jamil was the chief guest, while Divisional Director Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Khalida Rafique, Coordinator Rana Waris and others were also present.
Addressing the ceremony, Mian Tahir Jamil said that special persons are the responsibility of the state and it is our duty to take care of them. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif is trying to make special persons productive members of the society.
