PESHAWAR, Oct 09 (APP):Five candidates filed have nomination for Senate election one General Seat from KP, said official sources in the Provincial Election Commission (PEC) on Thursday.
Those who have filed nomination papers include Khurram zeshan, Irfan Saleem, Dr Nisar Khan, Taj Muhammad Afridi and Muhammad Abid Yousafzai.
The seat has fallen vacant due to the disqualification of Syed Shibli Faraz.
According to schedule, names of the nominated candidates will be published on October 10 and scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held on October 13 while last date for filing appeals against acceptance or rejection of nominations is October 15.
Last date for disposal of appeals by the Tribunal is October 17 while revised list of candidates will be issued on October 18. Last date for withdrawal of candidature is October 20, polling will be held in the Provincial Assembly Building, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday October 30, (From 0900 hours to 1600 hours).
