RAWALPINDI, Feb 13 (APP): The Civil Lines Police have arrested two key suspects involved in the killing of two citizens a week ago, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Friday.
The detained suspects had allegedly opened fire on the victims over a personal enmity and fled the scene after committing the crime, he added.
City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani had taken notice of the incident and ordered the immediate arrest of those involved. Acting on the directives, the Civil Lines Police utilised technical and human intelligence to trace and apprehend the suspects.
Superintendent of Police (Potohar) Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan said the detained accused would be challaned in court with solid evidence to ensure they receive exemplary punishment.
