DG KHAN, Oct 19 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Usman Khalid announced that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved 15 electric buses for District Taunsa, which are expected to arrive shortly. These buses are part of an initiative to introduce modern, comfortable, and eco-friendly transport services in the region.
Once the buses for Taunsa and Dera Ghazi Khan are received, the DC said, the government will expand these services to other areas, significantly benefiting the public by improving mobility and reducing pollution.
During his visit to Taunsa, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Hashmi, Chief Officer District Council Jawad-ul-Hasan Gondal, and other officials, the Deputy Commissioner stressed that the electric buses are a gift from the Chief Minister and their upkeep is a shared responsibility.
While inspecting the General Bus Stand in Taunsa, he directed that all vehicles must be parked strictly within the designated premises. He warned that vehicles found parked outside would be removed, and strict action would be taken against encroachments to ensure smooth traffic flow.
