Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI, Mar 31 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where four ships, Al-Bert-P, MSC Tracy-V, Fortune Legacy and Chem Silicon carrying Container, Soya Bean Seed and Chemicals, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Grain Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile two more ships, Pentozali, Kassiopi GR carrying Gas oil and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage on today.
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Al-Bert-P and Teacher-O left the port on today morning, while three more ships, Chem Silicon, AM Ocean Pride and MSC Tracy-V are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 168,850 tones comprising 136,936 tones imports cargo and 31,914 export cargo carried in 5,240 Containers (3,507 TEUs Imports & 1,733 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 09 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Vienna Wood and Propel Wisdom & another container ship ‘Westerly’ scheduled to load/offload HSFO, Coal and Container expected to take berth at FOTCO, PIBT and QICT on today.
