KARACHI, Feb 06 (APP):Four ships, Lila Mumbai, MSC Long Beach, Lampard and Richland Singapore carrying Container, Steel Coil and Soya Bean Seed, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal and Grain Terminal respectively on Thursday, Meanwhile three more ships, MSC Patnaree-III, Asian Honor and Hydra scheduled to load/offload Container, Sand and Fuel oil also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a container carrier ‘Lila Mumbai’ left the port on Friday.
Cargo volume of 173,289 tonnes, comprising 121,371 tonnes imports cargo and 51,918 export cargo carried in 5,243 Containers (2,189 TEUs Imports & 3,054 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 16 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, MSC Patnaree and Hydra & another ship ‘Venus-09 scheduled to load/offload Container, Fuel oil and LPG expected to take berths at QICT, FOTCO and SSGC on Friday.
