KARACHI, Dec 17 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where five ships, GFS Genesis, Bochem Bayard, SC Brilliant, Paccha and Pioneer Gas carrying Container, Soya Bean Seed, Gasoline and LPG, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, FOTCO oil Terminal and Sui Southern Gas Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile six more ships, CMA CGM Zanzibar, Spirit of Bertram, ASL Ixora, Chemroad Pegasus, BBC Fuji and Al-Thakhira scheduled to load/offload Container, Rice, Palm oil, Project Cargo and LNG also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘GFS Genesis’ left the port on today morning, while six more ships, Spirit of Bertram, CMA CGM Zanzibar, Bochem Bayard, Lapis Lazuli, BH Borga and SC Brilliant are expected to sail on today.
Cargo volume of 76,950 tonnes, comprising 71,731 tonnes imports cargo and 5,219 export cargo carried in 1,522 Containers (1,215 TEUs Imports & 307 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 15 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them seven ships, ASL Ixora, BBC Fuji, TG Virgo, Bochem Bucephala, Al-Thakhira, CMA CGM Zanzibar and Spirit of Bertram & two more ships, Hansa Africa and Koi scheduled to load/offload Cement, Project Cargo, Palm oil, Chemicals, LNG and Container are expected to take berths at MW-1, MW-2, LCT, EVTL, EETL and QICT on today.
