KARACHI, Jun 05 (APP): Three ships, Hansa Africa, Al- Thakhira and DSI Phoenix carrying Container, LNG and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile another chemical carrier ‘GC Argon’ with chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage on Thursday morning .
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship Hansa Africa’ left the port on today morning,
while another general cargo carrier ‘Duabi Crown’ expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 196,483 tonnes, comprising 148,893 tonnes imports cargo and 47,590 export cargo carried in 3,425 Containers (1,162 TEUs Imports &
2,263 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are seven ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Sedra and GC Argon & two more ships, Maritime Kelly and CMA CGM
Zanzibar carrying Steel Plates, Chemicals, Palm oil and Container are expected to take berths at MW-1, EVTL, LCT and QICT respectively on Thursday, while another containers ship ‘MSC Roberta-V’ due to arrive at outer anchorage on Friday.
