KARACHI, Feb 14 (APP):Shipping activity was reported at the port where four ships, Maersk Capetown, Bremen Express, DSM London, and Kathrine Kosan scheduled to load/offload Container, Rice and Chemicals, berthed at Qasim International Container
Terminal, Grain Terminal, and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile another Liquefied Natural Gas carrier ‘Fuwairit’ also arrived at outer anchorage on Friday morning.
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, Maersk Capetown, Bremen Express, and Doha left the port this morning, while three more ships, Dumbledore, Falcon Royal, and Kathrine Kosan are expected to sail on Friday.
Cargo volume of 125,070 tonnes, comprising 84,728 tonnes import cargo and 40,342 tonnes export cargo carried in 4,137 Containers (2,322 TEUs Imports & 1,815 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during the last 24 hours.
There are Ten ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Au Libra, Khairpur and Fuwairit & two more ships X-Press Anglesey and Jaru Bhum carrying Palm oil, Mogas, LNG and Container are expected to
take berths at LCT, FOTCO, PGPCL, and QICT are respectively on Friday, while three more container ships, Cap Andreas, X-Press Salween and MSC Positano are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Saturday.
