KARACHI, Jan 24 (APP):Three ships, GFS Ruby, Wan Hai-501 and Ivan-6 carrying Container and LPG, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile another chemicals carrier ‘Chemroad Jupiter’ also arrived at outer anchorage on today morning.
Ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Wan Hai-501, GFS Ruby, Al-Areesh and Au-Taurus left the port on today morning, while three more ships, Prince Zain, Bullitt and River Side are expected to sail on Friday.
Cargo volume of 78,775 tonnes, comprising 54,864 tonnes imports cargo and 23,911 tonnes export cargo carried in 1,359 Containers (1,283 TEUs Imports & 76 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
Twenty five ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Split, Benttley and Merbabu scheduled to load/offload Rice, Palm oil and Fuel oil are expected to take berths at MW-2, MW-1 and FOTCO are respectively on today Friday, while two more container ships, Maersk Kohima and MSC Positano are due arrive at outer anchorage on Saturday.
