Services exports increase by 16.77% to $3.833 bln

ISLAMABAD, Jan 5 (APP):The exports of services during the first five months of the current fiscal year increased by 16.77 percent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported.
During July-November 2025-26, exports of services were recorded at $3.833 billion as against the exports of $3.283 billion during the same period of last year, according to the latest PBS data.
During the period under review, the services imports into the country grew by 12.78 percent and it was registered at $5.146 billion as compared to the import of $4.563 billion in the same period last year.
Based on the figures, the services trade deficit was recorded at $1.312 billion against the deficit of 1.279 billion last year, showing a growth of 2.55 percent.
On a year-on-year basis, the services exports from the country grew by 22.26 percent in November 2025 as compared to the exports of the same month of last year. In November 2025, services valuing at $814.25 million were exported as compared to exports of $666.01 million in the same month of last year.
The imports of services into the country also increased by 16.72 percent during the period under review as it was recorded at $953.24 million against $816.69 million.
On month on month basis, the services exports also increased by 0.41 percent in November 2025 as compared to the export of $810.91 million in October 2025.
However, the services imports decreased by 9.04 percent in November 2025 as compared to the import of $1.048 billion in October 2025.
